OSAKA was a dream came true! (5D4N worth 2.5k!)

Nara station
Hi readers.. Entry kali ini is about Holiday!. actually cerita ni berlaku pada tahun 2017.. hopefully x basi lagi lah.. so last year we (me, esyad, paan n izzi) went to OSAKA for our 2nd oversea trip together. plan pada awalnya nak pergi bulan februari 2017, but there was no flight promos on that month. luckily ada promo flight on April (season sedang elok hujung2 spring). BUT! aku pulak ada PESTA BUKU KUALA LUMPUR. so kami anjak lagi pergi bulan MAY. ngam2 1 minggu lepas pesta buku selesai.

Its a wrap PBAKL 2017

so we've actually planned this whole trip setahun sebelum.. which mean tahun 2016 selepas balik dari PHUKET (this entry coming soon). it took a lot of research for this trip compared to the phuket trip. kudos to our most brilliant brainy master mind Esyad, he made this journey become clear every time. wlaupon lagi 3 hari nak fly tiba2 nama aku naik senarai hitam imigresen. ini dalam entry seterusnya almost redha n pasrah that time. so cut-short-long-stories . on 17th May we departing from KUL to KIX . here is our 5 days Itinerary for OSAKA trip! esyad manage our itinerary using Travefy

ini gate paling menggerunkan bagi peminjam tegar PTPTN.

Me, esyad n paan.. izzi tercampak ke depan seat dia.

DAY 1 (17/5/18)

8.00am (Malaysia time):
depart KUL (return flight cost +- RM800 inc luggage)

5.00pm (Japan time*):
Arrive KIX
*will use this timezone onward

Kansai Airport
5.30pm :
settled all the train passes and USJ ticket we take the Nankai train using kansai thru pass (3 days pass bought from HIS travel for +-RM180. click here for more info) and went to NIPPOMBASHI station. We will be staying here for this whole trip (AIRBNB +-RM170 5D4N). As for the internet service we rent the portable wifi from HIS TRAVEL for RM15/day. click here for more info.

Excuse the lame editing 😅

6.15pm
Arrive at Nippombashi station. it took a little time to figure out the right direction. because we already planned to walk thru the 'jalan yang dah dikenalpasti' . sempat singgah FAMILY MART along the way. nak cari lokasi rumah tu pun x susah sebab dah tahu kat mana and bangunan tu bentuk macam mana. so here come the funniest part.. how to open the access door. we tried to contact the landlord but couldn't reach her. so we try and error because the intercom was all in Japanese. everyone make their shot to try. when it come to my turn, the door opened! BUT! i couldn't remember how to work it out. we tried once again and luckily we manage to get in. we get some rest for tonight activity, and guess what? we get a very nice and beautiful scenery as a welcome gift!

point merah itu airbnb kitorang, n the blue dot is the way we should take.

so this is our house. nice n cozy we didnt manage to take the picture inside the
house since everyone is excited about the outside.
7.30pm
we all decided to go to Dotonbori for a night walk. unfortunately paan was very exhausted, so he's not coming with us. so, dotonbori is such a nice and lively place to hangout during the night. we get to watch a street dance show by some girls dance group. take a beautiful shot of the iconic Glico sign man, and enjoy a tray of takoyaki which later on i found out the takoyaki pan were spray with sake (Alcohol drink). Alhamdulillah kenyang... dont worry x mabuk.

*abaikan suara aku yang macam makcik2 bawang tu..

so later that night we called it a day. balik rumah terus packing2 makanan untuk esok. for this trip we brought the instant food by brahims and a few canned food. so kitorang buat sandwich as a bekal untuk USJ trip tomorrow.

DAY 2 (18/5/2017)

5.00am
wake up very early, because we dont wanna be behind the line. we bought the USJ pass also from HIS travel +- RM234 see here for more info.

6.00am:
sejam bersiap.. biasalah fomfuan kann.. hahaha so from Nippombashi station we take Sen-Nichimae Line and went to Tamagawa station and interchange to Noda station to take Yumesaki line. it takes about 30 min to get to Universal city station.

6.30am:
arrive at Universal-city station, and try to get to the front line. and yeahh we manage to do so and still can get a few shot.

this the main reason why we came here!! harry potter HOGWARTS

I even tried the butter beer (it is not actually a "beer" as it safe for kids. it kinda tasted like sarsi)

There is a LOT of 'ME TIME' during the USJ session. why? lemme tell u something. if u wanna come here, make sure u kurus or be in a suitable size. most of the ride i couldnt get to try because the seat wont fit my big fat a*s. but dont worry they will greet you politely summimasen and ask you to try first the replica seat. if you pass then stay in the line.. if you dont.. gomennasai..arigato gozaimasta.. paham2 lah.. so i tried the other ride that didnt require a seat.. just kidding.. there are a lot of other activity that you fat people can try.. hahaha the one for kids laaa. but over all this were the best experience of my life... gittew . so we spent the whole day at USJ even we take the jurrasic ride for the 2nd time. USJ most recommended place to visit if you visit OSAKA!

7.30pm:
we stop all the activities and take some rest around 30min before we depart home.

8.30pm:
we stop at Shinsaibashi station and eye feasting along the way walking to our apartment. it is not that far since we already mapped our route. so this time we tried some of the street delicacies, the soft butter croissant, cheese cake, and of course takoyaki (this time we buy at the halal shop)

10.00pm:
I decided to go home early with izzi while esyad and paan still walking-eye-feasting around dotonbori. kaki melecet baq angg. on the way back home we try to buy cig at the vending machine, unfortunately the machine need an ID card to continue. actually there was someone passby we tried to ask politely to buy us the cig but he ignoring us. so we thought the culture is not to communicate with any stranger especially during the night infront of cig vending machine. luckily there was a cig shop nearby n we went to buy there. i'm not that craving actually but just want to try how is it taste like. yerpp they all same..

DAY 3 (19/5/2017)

9.00am:
we decided to wake a little bit late that day since we worked all day long yesterday. actually lepas balik rumah semalam x tido terus, beli macam2 makanan dekat family mart untuk try2. so lepas siap2 mandi we take the train from Nippombashi station and went to Himeji. since there is one travel agent suggesting us to put Himeji on our itinerary. also to fully utilized our kansai thru pass since it is a long trip.

10.00am:
  1. Take Kintetsu line at Nippombashi Station (Kintetsu-Nara Line)
  2. stop at Amagasaki Station to change train
  3. Walk to Hanshin Line-Sanyo Himeji (1 minute walking) (same building)
  4. take Sanyo Himeji Station (remain on board until arrive at Himeji)
11.40am:
it took 1hr40min to get there, but wait, the scenery was  worth the time. so we took Himeji Loop Bus which only costs you 100yen. The bus will drop you near the castle. Jalan-jalan a little bit around the castle. siapa yang jenis suka ambil gamba scenery sesuai ke sini because the view is amazing. we manage to having light lunch at Himeji. we bought some Onigiri and drinks at Family Mart and rest at the bench nearby.

12.00pm:
we depart from Himeji station right after we finished our lunch.

1.40pm:
we stopped at Umeda station. we plan to go to Hep5 Ferris Wheel (Ticket RM21). one of the attraction in Osaka is the ferris wheel on a shopping mall! read about Hep5 here . The view from above was a breathtaking. you can see the movement of train going around the city. after that we decide to window shopping inside the mall, and buy some souvenir.

5.00pm:
Supposedly we wanted to go to Umeda Sky Building, unfortunately everyone is so damn tired. (sorry esyad) so we head back to Nippombashi.

we do stop at Shinsaibashi to buy some food and a few souvenir. kat sini barang2 kosmetik murah2. mask 100yen, horse oil, eye drop, whitening products n banyak lagi.

8.00pm:
we head back home early today to try new bought masker and few other rare food. pastu tidoq.. penat baq ang!

DAY 4 (20/5/2017)

8.00am:
wake up and get ready! depart from Nippombashi station to Nara.. yeay! cant wait to meet the deer! so we took the Kintetsu line and went to Nara. The Scene along the way to Nara quite nostalgic and drown in memory lane. persekitaran perkampungan Nara yang sangat tenang. so back to our journey, it took about 1hour to arrive at Nara Station.

9.00am:
we are here at Nara park! we took the shuttle bus and went to the park. I know the park were just few step away, but why not kan? dah ade bus naik jerr. tiba-tiba! kitorang nampak gate merah kat bawah ni n we decide to stop there. (just to mention we love make a last minute decision). so as we walk along the way back to the station, we stop at the wild deer park. we buy the biscuit and feed the deer. actually 'they' are not that wild, as long as we have the biscuit in our hands.

12.00pm:
So, after a few Yen's of investment on the deer biscuits, we head back to the station. we stop at the Lawson nearby the station and having a light lunch. Later that time, we depart from Nara and went to Gion, Kyoto.

1.30pm:
well.. actually this trip isn't just a holiday trip, currently that time, I'm on my Masters assignment and researching about the history about Geisha. So I asked my fellow friends to put Gion in our itinerary. So we discover a few places related to Geisha's history and a few location scenes from the movie and novel 'Memoirs of a Geisha' by Arthur Golden. well this part is quite boring. lulz we went to the Tatsumi Bridge, which the iconic scene from the movie, and walk around the district.

view from Shijo Bridge (near the subway station)
at the Tatsumi Bridge

3.00pm:
Later that time we heading to Big Camera IT store near the Namba station. I manage to buy a few souvenir here, and spent our small coins at the coin printers.actually we spent a lot more time here than shopping around the mall. Later that day, we decide to spent the whole day walking around the mall nearby and taste some street food and also from the convenient store. then we called it a day.
